Vin Diesel was active on Facebook today, offering not one but two Fast & Furious updates as the delayed sequel speeds closer to its 2015 release date.
The first update shared an image of Vin as Dominic Toretto, wrapping up his hands and forearms in the shop. He’s got the Toretto shirt on for a look at is almost timeless as far as the series is concerned.
Diesel accompanied this image with news that Universal had just brought him the first Fast & Furious 7 trailer to watch and it was, in a word, “incredible.” I’d say after peeking at Universal’s upcoming slate that Dracula Untold on October 10 seems like a good bet for when the Fast & Furious 7 trailer will make its theatrical debut.
The late Paul Walker, or Pablo as Vin calls him, also came up in the Facebook message regarding the trailer. Maybe that spurred Vin’s sentimentality as he followed up with a second image from the film, this one depicting him as Toretto and Walker as Brian O’Conner.
Here’s Diesel’s full message:
“Universal came to visit, to show the trailer for FF7…
Speechless… yeah, it was that INCREDIBLE!
I must also say, that it was emotional and bittersweet… we all went above and beyond to make Pablo proud, but man, I wish he could see what we have created and just how far we have come.”
Fast & Furious 7 is directed by James Wan and also stars Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Lucas Black and Tyrese Gibson. It speeds into theaters on April 3, 2015.
