There’s quite a bit of new footage sprinkled throughout Michael Bay’s Transformers: The Last Knight international trailer that was released this past week.
In the trailer, Anthony Hopkins intones that two worlds, Earth and presumably Cybertron, will soon collide and only one can survive. The only way Earth doesn’t draw the short stick is if our band of heroes led by Mark Wahlberg examine the secret history of Transformers on our planet and come up with a survival solution.
There’s also a renegade Optimus Prime, freshly returned from the depths of space with the intent of terminating his friends.
We still don’t know why Grimlock is hanging out in a salvage yard and his fellow Dinobots are nowhere to be seen. The Transformers: The Last Knight international trailer offers up some new footage of the Dinobot leader from the same scene. Hopefully he isn’t attacked and wiped out shortly thereafter.
Transformers: The Last Knight also stars Stanley Tucci, Isabela Moner, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro and Laura Haddock. It arrives in theaters on June 21st.
