“It’s beautiful.” Those are the chilling words spoken by Director Krennic in the new Rogue One: A Star Wars Story IMAX TV spot that debuted on Friday.
IMAX is a big and bold format so it’s fitting that the Death Star’s presumably inaugural blast from its main weapon leads the spot. Krennic’s voiceover expresses his content with the test while the Rebels rally around Jyn Erso in the face of an imminent threat to their existence.
There are a few edit shuffles with the dialogue on this spot so don’t take Krennic or K-2SO’s lines word-for-word. They are spliced together from different scenes in the film.
Star Wars: Rogue One stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. Garreth Edwards directs the first standalone Star Wars movie that arrives in theaters less than a week from today on December 16th.
