Lionsgate has dropped a second trailer for the Hellboy reboot in both green and red-band flavors.
Based on Mike Mignola’s comic of the same name, this new 2019 take on Hellboy is most definitely rated R as the red-band trailer embedded below proves. There is ample profanity and blood to appease fans of the edgy comic and graphic novels.
It will take some getting used to David Harbour taking over the title role for Ron Perlman. Harbour’s prominent facial features differ from how Guillermo del Toro outfitted Perlman for the role. He seems more aggressive and angry, if that’s possible.
I’d also argue Hellboy’s dry humor lines are more forced in this new version based on the trailer. Let’s wait until the finished film before jumping to conclusions.

Look for Hellboy in theaters on April 12th.
