Lucasfilm and Disney keep distributing new Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens commercials with just enough new footage spliced in to make them worthwhile. Earlier tonight on ABC during the American Music Awards, the first clip from the film finally made its debut.
The latest new TV spots give us our first listen at cockpit chatter between Poe Dameron and two of his X-Wing fighter squadrons, more BB-8 beeping and rolling around as well as his first gadget reveal, some new shots of Kylo Ren, and some other slightly longer shots of previously released footage.
With no new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailers coming, it looks like additional new footage is all coming in the form of TV spots. However, a first clip from the film has arrived that should look familiar as bits of it have appeared in the trailers and previous commercials. I expect at least one more clip will be released between now and the film’s December 18th debut.
