Ghostbusters director Paul Feig has been an uncontrollable faucet of information and visual spoilers from the upcoming reboot, much to the delight of the film’s fans. Not long after revealing an image of all four new Ghostbusters in full gear standing in front of the Ecto-1, he’s gone a step further and shared with Ghostbusters character names with a small caveat.
The sharing started when a fan asked Feig straight up if he would share the four main character names. Feig, presumably with Sony’s approval, obliged the fan and shared a tweet revealing the names Erin Gilbert, Jilian Holtzman, Abby Yates and Patty Tolan.
Feig did not, however, say which name matches up with which actress. A best guess based on photos snapped on the set align Erin Gilbert with Kirstin Wiig, Jilian Holtzman with Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones with Patty Tolan, and Melissa McCarthy with Abby Yates.
While Feig has been generous in sharing information about his leading ladies, he’s yet to tweet an image of co-star Chris Hemsworth or drop any kind of hint as to what kind of ghouls the new Ghostbusters will be up against.
We should get a look at the first Ghostbusters trailer before the year is out as the film is set for release on July 22, 2016, barely a year away from now.
