What a week it has been for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens. First we got a handful of new character posters followed shortly thereafter by a Japanese trailer chock full of new scenes and dialogue. Now to top that all off we have the first Star Wars: The Force Awakens TV spot courtesy of Twitter’s own official Twitter account.
The short spot starts right away with a new scene of the Millennium Falcon descending upon what looks like the castle/fortress of Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong’o). This is the same structure that Finn (John Boyega), Rey (Daisy Ridley), Han (Harrison Ford) and BB-8 are approaching with the flags hung high in the entryway.
We also get to see Rey firing a blaster at someone again, only this time that someone is revealed to be Kylo Ren. He easily blocks the shots and then likely captures Rey complete with the lightsaber-by-the-face intimidation move.
Other cool new shots include Han Solo back in the snow reminiscent of Hoth, the Falcon being chased by Tie Fighters, and the Falcon blasting out of snow covered trees preceded by Rey at the Falcon controls.
