Universal Pictures has kindly shared a trio of official images from director Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World via AV Club. Given the fourth film in the dino-tastic franchise hasn’t been shooting for all that long, its real stars aren’t quite ready for their moment in the limelight.
The image were released on June 12, which actually is not a random date and holds some significance. With Jurassic World set for release on the same day in 2015, June 12 marks the one-year countdown, and Universal thought we’d rather see some of the humans in the film than nothing at all. Plus, massive leaks have been abound from the production so Universal at least got the jump on nosy photographers with these stills.
Chris Pratt, still bulked up and slimed down from his work in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, looks intense with his motor bike in the first still. He also looks like he’s living in a shack with Carl the groundskeeper from Caddyshack.
Pratt is joined by Bryce Dallas Howard in the second still. Sporting a business suit, she looks completely out of place in the scene, though there’s obviously a good reason for that. My money says she’s the corporate-type recruiting Pratt to help clean up the dino-sized mess at the Jurassic World resort.
The final still features a pair of kids played by Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins. Yes, Jurassic World will continue the kids theme from the original film. These two are a bit older than the original kids, though it looks like whatever they stumbled onto isn’t exactly a good thing. Not to mention one of them is carrying a battered worker’s hat.
With any luck we’ll get a Jurassic World teaser trailer before the year is out.
