Marvel has finally offered up a firm release date for the first Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer. You won’t see it in movie theaters or online. Nope; this hotly anticipated trailer will make its debut in primetime.
Next week’s new episode of Agents of SHIELD is where Marvel has chosen to debut the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer. Specifically, the trailer will be seen sometime in the hour starting at 9/8c on Tuesday, October 28. Expect Agents of SHIELD ratings for that episode to get a healthy bump as a result.
The expectation is that the first Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer will closely resemble the Comic-Con footage that premiered this past July to a select audience of around 6,000 fans and journalists in San Diego, California. What’s certain is that the trailer will start popping up online within seconds of its TV debut, hopefully starting with the official Marvel YouTube channel.
Avengers: Age of Ultron adds James Spader, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron-Taylor Johnson, and Don Cheadle to the returning first The Avengers cast including Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, and Paul Bettany. The film arrives in theaters on May 1, 2015.
