An Internet leak this evening forced Fox to officially release the second Alien: Covenant trailer about 12 hours before they wanted to. The reward for our impatience is a slightly earlier look at the return of an old friend and a brief introduction of a new one.
The first Alien: Covenant trailer brought back the Alien eggs we all know so well. There are even more eggs in this trailer, a facehugger or two outside of the eggs, and our old xenomorph friend wreaking havoc both inside and outside the Covenant ship.
Watch carefully and you’ll spot the new while neomorph Alien attacking some poor lady. If I had to guess we’ll see the neomorph earlier in the film with the more familiar xenomorph being akin to a final boss that must be defeated in order to escape the planet.
Alien: Covenant is directed by Ridley Scott and stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England and Benjamin Rigby with James Franco and Noomi Rapace.
Look for Alien: Covenant in theaters beginning May 19th.
