Skylanders Trap Team Soda Springs Level: Watch From Start to Finish

Skylanders Trap Team Soda Springs Level

There’s nothing better to show off an upcoming video game than to let the public watch an entire level played through by someone on the development team. This doesn’t happen often, but Activision has delivered the goods with a Skylanders Trap Team Soda Springs level playthrough video as a cap on their Comic-Con reveals.

The Soda Springs playthrough runs approximately 15 minutes with the main villain Gulper serving as the bookends. Gulper is a massive soda guzzling villain who needs to be brought down to size before he can be trapped in a Traptanium crystal for playable use in other levels. I still say his design and capacity for immense caloric intake was inspired by Slimer from Ghostbusters.

Gulper isn’t the only trappable villain to face in Soda Springs. Sheep Creep, revealed at Comic-Con a few days ago, is confronted earlier in the level and must be taken down. The benefit of trapping Sheep Creep before the level is completed is that you can use him to take on Gulper in the boss fight.

Note that at 15 minutes in length, Soda Springs runs considerably shorter than the 40-50 minute levels in Skylanders Swap Force. More levels that take much less time to complete will make it much easier to pick up Skylanders Trap Team and knock out a quick level without having to set aside an enormous block of time to do so.
