Apple stores will be hopping this holiday season as shoppers pick up iPhone 6, iPhone 6 plus, and the latest iPad tablets. Apple shoppers will also have a chance to pick up Activision’s Skylanders Trap Team for tablets at physical Apple stores as well as the online store, so don’t be surprised if you see Food Fight and Snap Shot hanging our in your local Apple Store.
Skylanders Trap Team for tablets is identical to the console version and a leap forward in mobile gaming that bridges the gap with the console experience. It can be played on third and fourth generation iPads — the iPad mini Retina, the iPad Air and the brand new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3. It can also be played on Kindle Fire and Android tablets.
Activision is also promoting Skylanders Trap Team this holiday season with a new sweepstakes built around the Twitter hashtag #TrapAndPlaySweeps. Portal Masters are encouraged to take pictures of themselves playing the Trap Team tablet version in interesting or even exotic locations, then tweet those pictures using the #TrapAndPlaySweep hashtag. Multiple prizes will be awarded throughout the duration of the contest.
Elsewhere on the Skylanders Trap Team front, Activision has released a new Let’s Play video for chapter six in the game, Rainfish Riviera. What’s special about this particular Let’s Play Skylanders Trap Team video is it starts three of the Wave 3 Trap Team figures: Tuff Luck, Blastermind and Trail Blazer. Blastermind is from the Magic Element so we’d finally be able to access those currently inaccessible Traptanium Magic Elemental Gates.
These guys could be in stores by year’s end so keep those eyes peeled.
