NBA 2K15 is less than two months from its early October debut and up until 24 hours ago, the world had yet to see a single frame of gameplay footage. Leave it to cover athlete Kevin Durant to drop the goods and a virtual dunk all over Andre Iguodala and the Warriors the same time.
Durant used his Instragram page on Thursday to share a short NBA 2K15 teaser video starring, who else, himself. It offers a clean look at Durant’s player model in this year’s edition complete with accurate leg sleeves. If you look closely at Durant’s surroundings, there’s a couple other interesting nuggets regarding other game enhancements dropped like easter eggs.
At least one fan in the crowd is seen holding up a massive cardboard cutout of Durant’s head. There’s also a potential cheerleader sighting as well, an element absent from NBA 2K14.
With the good comes the bad and let’s be honest; the Golden State Warriors defense in this clip is literally standing around doing nothing while Durant dunks on poor Iggy. Let’s hope the actual game tightens up the D or it’s going to be a scoring fest with LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving putting up 150 points a game.
NBA 2K15 drops on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC on October 7. Watch the NBA 2K15 Kevin Durant trailer below.
