Spring training is well underway in both Arizona and Florida, and the MLB regular season is now just a few weeks away. As the sound of the crack of bats on balls, and the smell of hot dogs and fresh cut grass begin to come back into our lives, on March 31, Sony and San Diego Studios will roll out the next installment of arguably the greatest sports video game franchise, MLB 15: The Show for the PS3, PS4, and the PS Vita.
While fans of The Show have had the day marked on their calendars since it was announced earlier this year, there may be some people out there who are still undecided if they will pick up the award-winning, highest-rated annual sports game. And to sweeten the deal for pre-orders, Sony and Skinit have collaborated to offer fans who pre-order the game for the PS4 a real cool incentive: free MLB team skins for your controllers!
The Skinit skins attach seamlessly to the PS4 DualShock 4 controller and give fans a little flair without taking away any of the features, such as the built-in speaker and touch pad. Every team is available, and there are multiple designs to choose from per team. This offer extends through most retailers, including Best Buy and Amazon, and GameStop is even offering an additional pre-order bonus of six bonus item packs. Each pack contains six MLB player cards and two items, which could be licensed equipment, new stadiums, and more.
The pre-order offer extends until March 30, unless otherwise noted by the retailer.
MLB 15: The Show has many exciting new features for 2015, including, for the first time ever, licensed equipment and apparel, year-to-year saves from last years’ game, and MLB Legends. Each team will be represented by an MLB Legend, and can be unlocked through player cards and used on-field. Not to mention the new graphical advancements and new day/night lighting and shadows presentations, which will make an already beautiful game even better.
