Madden NFL 15 Happy Meal Toys Unkind to Falcons and Chargers

McDonalds is jumping  back into the video game arena for an upcoming Happy Meal promotion following successful cheap plastic toy runs for Activision’s Skylanders Giants and Mario Kart 8. In the not too distant future you will be able to walk out of McDonalds with Madden NFL 15 Happy Meal toys in the palm of your hand.

Each of the 32 NFL teams are represented by a single toy that loosely represents a player/position on the team. For example the Denver Broncos toy is a quarterback that is supposed to represent Peyton Manning, despite the replacement of jersey numbers with team logos. The NFLPA clearly isn’t involved in this deal.

I feel bad for fans of the Atlanta Falcons and San Diego Chargers. While each of the 30 other teams are represented by a strong offensive or defensive position, the Falcons and Chargers are represented by kicker toys. Maybe that punch to the guy will fire up both teams and their fans in training camp and preseason.

The McDonalds Madden NFL 15 Happy Meal toys will likely be available within the next month or so as Madden NFL 15 arrives in stores for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4, and the NFL regular season gets underway in early September. Despite these toys looking incredibly cheap and devoid of detail, if each team’s toy is only available in and around it’s home city then collecting a complete set will be an incredible challenge outside of purchasing a set on Ebay.
