All of the Disney Originals figures for Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Super Heroes such as Maleficent, Meridia, Aladdin, Jasmine, Stitch, Tinkbell, and just announced Donald Duck are only playable in Toy Box mode based on currently available knowledge about the game. There will be a pool of players that purchase the game solely to use these characters in the Toy Box, so obviously a lot of interest in how this Toy Box compares to the last.
A new Disney Infinity 2.0 Toy Box walkthrough went online today that serves as one big advertisement of the basic features in this important mode. There’s backward compatibility so all the original Disney Infinity 1.0 figures and Power Discs will work in the new Toy Box. All saved creations in the first Toy Box can be imported into the new one, and then expanded upon with the new Toy Box’s additional features.
I’m personally excited for the inclusion of interiors and the little builders that auto-build rides, cityscapes and more. It can be hard for younger, less experienced players to get going in the Toy Box. This auto-building feature is a great introduction to what’s possible and will inspire builders and designers to construct their own worlds.
Disney Infinity 2.0 is a little over five weeks out from its September 23 release date on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Wii U.
