Disney Interactive celebrated the first day of Comic-Con 2014 by finally announcing the Disney Infinity 2.0 release date is in fact September 23, the same date retailers had leaked more than a month ago.
The Disney Infinity 2.0 release date announcement is the second bite of big news to come out of Comic-Con for Disney’s big gaming sequel. Just yesterday they announced the Guardians of the Galaxy Play Set, figures and Power Discs that will be released sometime this fall.
Disney Infinity 2.0 is currently playable on the floor at Comic-Con for any attendees that want to check out the Marvel Super Heroes in action. In addition, Disney Originals characters only playable in the Toy Box including Tinker Bell, Stitch, Meridia and Maleficent are also on hand as evidenced by the photo below from the official Disney Infinity Twitter feed.
Disney Infinity 2.0 will be available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Wii U, and can be pre-ordered at Amazon.com with a free figure.
