Yesterday Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Unity took center stage at online retailer Amazon.com as one of the Gold Box Deals of the day. Today is all about Destiny game deals in Amazon’s video game sales channel as the Bungie and Activision shooter released a few months ago is currently on deep discount.
For today only, December 16,, Amazon is selling Destiny for PS4 or Xbox One at the low low price of $29.99. This works out to half the usual retail price up around $60 and is the first and last time you will see this price prior to Christmas next week.
Curiously Amazon has not discounted the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 versions of Destiny to the same price, the exact approach they took with yesterday’s Assassin’s Creed deal. The thought is that the new-gen versions haven’t sold as briskly as the last-gen versions so Amazon and the publishers are looking to clear out some extra stock while shoppers are still stuffing stockings.
