Koei Tecmo has revealed plans to bring a Bladestorm: Nightmare demo, their latest historical combat game, to Microsoft’s Xbox One as well as Sony’s PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 systems sometime in early March.
Here’s an official description of what the Bladestorm: Nightmare demo will encompass in Koei Tecmo’s words, “The demo will include a battle tutorial, showcasing a variety of troops the lead character can command, squad attack actions, different employable weapons and the tactic of ‘zapping’ between units. Playing this demo will enable the player to get an early start in mastering the flow of battle during a mission, and give them a deeper understanding of the various tactical and strategic options available in the game.”
Details surrounding the Bladestorm: Nightmare pre-order bonuses has also come to light. Those bonuses include a dragon mask & staff item set along with a special costume set for the Black Prince and Joan of Arc.
The Bladestorm: Nightmare release date on Xbox One, PS4 and PS3 (Digital Only) is set for March 17, 2015. I would anticipate the demo to drop roughly two weeks early or on March 3, and no later than a week early on March 10.
Here’s a Bladestorm: Nightmare primer for ya, “Bladestorm: Nightmare is a strategy game where the player takes the role of a mercenary and chooses to fight either for England or for France in missions inspired by real events and battles of the era dubbed ‘the Hundred Years War’ (1337 – 1453). Revisiting one of the longest and most politically unstable periods in European history, Omega Force has developed this title in a way that allows the player to assume command of different kinds of army units and also develop their own unique character, increase their fame, gold, and army and complete various missions irrespective of sides and loyalty.”
