It won’t make you famous, but you’ll be able to own Young Guns on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray for the first time ever on December 5th. Lionsgate are rolling out a standard 4K Blu-ray release and Best Buy exclusive Steelbook package in celebration of the film’s 35th anniversary.
Neither edition has gone up for pre-order but we’ll be sure to share the Amazon and Best Buy links when they do.
This 4K debut of Young Guns will come with a Digital copy, the first time one has been available.
Technical specs include a brand-new 4K transfer with Dolby Vision HDR, as well as a new Dolby Atmos audio track along with the original 2.0 stereo mix.
Lionsgate have packed in a selection of Young Guns legacy bonus features. There don’t appear to be any new ones as the focus is squarely on the 4K presentation and package, where the Best Buy Steelbook will get some exclusive character cards.

Young Guns is directed by Christopher Cain and stars Emilio Estevez, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, Charlie Sheen, Dermot Mulroney, and Casey Siemaszko.
