Microsoft has announced the first official first-party wireless headset for the Xbox Series X and S. It will also work with Xbox One and Windows as well,
Priced at a mere $99, this headset includes support for Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Windows Sonic premium audio formats. That means you could easily use this headset to watch 4K movies with premium audio as well as play video games.
Features expected from premium gaming headsets are clear and accounted for with the Xbox wireless headset. These includes voice isolation so in-game chat isn’t overtaken by in-game audio, as well as auto-muting when the microphone is lifted up and away from your mouth.
Also note that the Xbox wireless headset uses a radio frequency to transmit its audio. The advantage to that is you can still pair and stream music via a Bluetooth connection that is completely separate from the game experience.
The Xbox Series X headset is primed and ready for its March 16th release.
From footsteps to explosions to your friends in the party.
Every sound counts.
