Transformers: Age of Extinction Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD Coming September 30

Paramount Home Entertainment has formally announced a September 30 release date for Transformers: Age of Extinction on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD following a tweet announcement earlier in the day by star Mark Wahlberg and our own sources revealing the date several days ago. The Digital HD version will bow two weeks earlier on September 16.

Transformers: Age of Extinction stars Wahlberg along with Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz and Kelsey Grammer as the fourth film in the franchise from director Michael Bay. As with each previous installment it has done explosive box office business, thus far to the tune of $1.065 billion in worldwide ticket sales. No doubt the introduction of the Dinobots helped sell a few extra tickets.

Paramount will be offering separate Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD combo versions of the film. The Blu-ray 3D combo will include Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD, while the Blu-ray combo includes DVD and Digital HD. All high definition versions of the film will be presented in 1080p video and 7.1 Dolby TrueHD audio.
