Anchor Bay Home Entertainment is releasing The Walking Dead Season 5 on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD later this month. If you’re patiently holding out for the Limited Edition set with crazy walker packaging by McFarlane Toys, you’re going to have a wait a little bit longer than in years past.
The Walking Dead Season 5 Limited Edition Blu-ray release date on Blu-ray and Digital HD combo was officially revealed earlier today for December 1, just in time to take advantage of Christmas shoppers looking to make a gross statement with their gift. I say gross because McFarlane Toys has designed the packaging based on the crispy fried walkers that were burned into the asphalt of Atlanta’s streets. This guy is gross and looking for shelves across North America to hang out on.
Previous The Walking Dead Limited Edition releases include the “Screwdriver Walker Head” (Season 2), the “Governor’s Walker Head Tank” (Season 3), and the “Tree Walker” (Season 4). The SRP is set for $149.99 and you can pre-order The Walking Dead Season 5 Limited Edition Blu-ray and Digital set at Amazon right now for $134.99. As past seasons have proven it will sell out.
