Anchor Bay Home Entertainment has formally announced The Walking Dead Season 4 Blu-ray and Digital HD combo set is coming on August 26, alongside the third consecutive year of a limited edition version with exclusive packaging designed by McFarlane Toys.
The limited edition packaging is a sight to behold, much like McFarlane’s designs for the Season 2 and 3 limited edition versions. For Season 4, they’ve tapped into the “tree” zombie and offered up a design that has as much bark as it does bite.
Both Blu-ray editions of The Walking Dead Season 4 will span five discs and be presented in 1080p video and 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. SRP pricing for the three sets is $69.98 for DVD, $79.99 for Blu-ray, and $129.99 for the limited edition Blu-ray.
One of the cool Blu-ray exclusive bonus features that won’t be found on the DVD edition are extended versions of multiple episodes. Which ones we don’t know yet. A selection of audio commentaries are also exclusive to Blu-ray, while additional commentaries are joined by never-before-seen production footage and deleted scenes to cap multiple hours worth of extras.
