Blake Lively takes on an aggressive shark in Sony’s The Shallows, the summer woman-vs-beast survival flick that will next chart a course to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD next month.
Sony will first release The Shallows on September 13th via Digital HD. The Shallows 4K UHD with Dolby Atmos audio, Blu-ray and DVD physical disc releases fall on September 27th.
The box office treated The Shallows well with worldwide ticket sales topping $76 million. Estimated production costs run in the neighborhood of $17 million.
Bonus features included on all versions of The Shallows are below. The only thing missing is a commentary track by Lively and director Jaume Collet-Serra, though I suspect they chime in regularly in the featurettes.
