Multiple online retailer listings have revealed plans by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment to bring back the original 2001 The Fast and the Furious movie starring Paul Walker and Vin Diesel for a new 20th anniversary home video release.
More specifically, per Target this release will be a repackaged version of the already available 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray of The Fast and the Furious in a new Steelbook case.
Amazon’s listing does not include the Steelbook mention, though it’s currently assumed both releases are one in the same. We’ll know more after Universal makes their official announcement in the coming weeks.
One thing both retailers agree on is a May 11th, 2021 release date for The Fast and the Furious 20th anniversary 4K release.
Fast & Furious 9 drives into theaters on June 25th, 2021 following a yearlong release delay due to the pandemic.
