Today marks the 55th anniversary of the very first Star Trek episode’s premiere on September 8, 1966. That makes it an ideal date for Paramount Home Entertainment to announce the Star Trek: The Original 4 Movies 4K Ultra HD Collection.

As the name implies, this Star Trek 4K box set will include the first four Star Trek films on 4K UHD with a September 7th, 2021 release date. Those films are Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979), Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982), Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984), and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986).
Each film has been fully remastered from the original film elements with Dolby Vision and HDR-10. Also, separate Blu-ray only editions of each film will be available on the same day.
