Room Starring Brie Larson Coming to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Tomorrow

Last night director Leonard Abrahamson’s Room was well represented at the 88th Academy Awards with star Brie Larson up for Best Actress and young phenom Jacob Tremblay nominated for Best Supporting Actor. When the night was done Larson took home a gold statue, and less than 12 hours later Lionsgate announced the Room Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD release date was tomorrow.

No, that’s not a typo. You will be able to watch Room at home on Blu-ray, DVD or Digital HD starting Tuesday, March 1st. However, despite Lionsgate’s commitment to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, the studio has opted not to release Room in the new high definition format.

Room is coming to Blu-ray and Digital in 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. The Blu-ray combo back includes a Digital HD copy but does not include a DVD disc, which is sold individually only. Bonus features include the following:

  • Audio Commentary with Director Lenny Abrahamson, Cinematographer Danny Cohen, Editor Nathan Nugent, and Production Designer Ethan Tobman
  • “Making Room” Featurette
  • “11×11” Featurette
  • “Recreating Room” Featurette
