Robert Zemeckis’ The Walk Headed to Blu-ray 3D, DVD and Digital in Late December and Early January

One of the most heralded 3D films ever made is headed to home video when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment brings director Robert Zemeckis’ The Walk starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as famous wire walker Philippe Petit to Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD.

The Walk will first appear on Digital HD starting December 22 so it can be watched at home in time for the holidays. You won’t be able to wrap it up and put it under the tree though as the Blu-ray 3D combo pack and other physical formats don’t arrive in stores until January 5, 2016.

Sony will include a small selection of bonus features on all formats of The Walk, though only one of them will appear on the standalone DVD edition. The complete list of extras that appear on the Blu-ray and Digital versions is as follows:

  • Deleted Scenes
  • “First Steps” Featurette
  • “The Amazing Walk” Featurette
  • “Pillars of Support” Featurette (also on DVD)

Pre-order The Walk on Blu-ray 3D combo or other formats at Amazon, and take a look at the Blu-ray 3D combo and Blu-ray combo cover art below.
