The Dreamworks Animation Studios feature film Penguins of Madagascar will be waddling its way onto Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD on a March 17, 2015 release date.
Penguins of Madagascar is a spin-off from the popular Madagascar films starring the voices of Benedict Cumberbatch, Ken Jeong, John Malkovich and Peter Stormare as lovable, mission-driven penguins that mean well but ultimately create a big mess at the end of the day. The film has earned over $287 million at the worldwide box office with roughly $80.8 million of that coming from North America.
Fox and Dreamworks Home Entertainment are releasing Penguins of Madagascar in a variety of different configurations. At launch there will be Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray combos that each come with two Penguin toys, while supplies last. These combos, which also include DVD and Digital HD, will also be available sans toys. There’s also a Blu-ray and Digital HD combo pack that doesn’t include DVD.
Bonus features are overflowing on the Penguins of Madagascar Blu-ray combo packs, the majority of which won’t appear on the standalone DVD release. They include:
