The home video release dates and details for Martin Scorsese’s Silence starring Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver and Liam Neeson have been announced by Paramount Home Entertainment.
Silence will first debut March 14th exclusively on Digital HD. You will be able to pick up the Silence Blu-ray or DVD release two weeks later on March 28th. Note that a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release is not planned at this time.
Few moviegoers caught Silence at the box office as evidenced by the film’s lackluster $7.1 million in ticket sales. Home video should prove more successful given the star talent involved.
Given Silence’s box office struggles it’s not surprising that Paramount commissioned a lone bonus feature: Martin Scorsese’s Journey into Silence. This extra will include extensive time with Scorsese as well as the film’s stars.
