Anchor Bay Entertainment and The Weinstein Company have announced a March 7th release date for Lion starring Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman, David Wenham and Rooney Mara on Digital HD with Blu-ray and DVD editions coming two weeks later on March 21st.
Lion marks the directorial debut of Garth Davis and made a huge critical impact upon its release. The film secured six Academy Award nominations including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Dev Patel), Best Supporting Actress (Nicole Kidman), Best Music (Original Score), Best Cinematography and Best Writing (Adapted Screenplay).
Since its wide release on January 6th, Lion has earned just under $45 million at the worldwide box office.
Bonus features on all editions of Lion include Deleted Scenes, Behind the Scenes Gallery and “Never Give Up” Official Lyric Video performed by Sia.
