This year marks not only the fifth Jurassic Park film’s arrival but the 25th anniversary of the Steven Spielberg classic that started it all.
With the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format becoming more mainstream, Universal Studios Home Entertainment is delivering the first four Jurassic Park movies on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray to mark both occasions.
The Jurassic Park 25th Anniversary Ultra HD Blu-ray Collection coming May 22nd is a limited release as outed by online retailer Amazon.com. The 8-disc set includes Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Joe Johnston’s Jurassic Park III, and Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World with all the previously released bonus features on the previously released Blu-ray for each.
A Digital HD copy of each film is also included.
Obviously the upcoming Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will not be included in this set. At this time there’s no indication Universal will release these Jurassic Park 4K movies individually. For now it’s the box set or bust.
