Sharpen those arrows as Lionsgate Home Entertainment has staked out a February 17, 2015 release date for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks and Philip Seymour Hoffman on Digital HD. The On Demand and Blu-ray release date flips the calendar into the next month on Friday, March 6.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 Blu-ray release date announcement comes only a day removed from the film becoming the top-grossing movie released in 2014. To date the third of four games based on the popular young adult book series by Suzanne Collins has earned $711.9 million at the worldwide box office with $333.2 million of that coming from North America.
For The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 home video debut in high definition, Lionsgate is presenting the film in 1080p video with a Dolby TrueHD Atmos Mix for audio. Digital HD and Blu-ray bonus features are identical:
