Warner Bros. Home Entertainment are continuing the studio’s 100th anniversary with the addition of East of Eden and Rio Bravo to their 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray collection. These classics are both part of the National Film Registry and have a release date of July 18th, 2023.
Both films are presented in 4K with HDR and will come with a lone previously released commentary track as a bonus feature as well as a Digital copy. East of Eden’s is by Richard Schickel, and Rio Bravo’s by John Carpenter and Richard Schickel.
Both films have been fully restored by Warner Bros. for their 4K debuts, “Working in partnership with The Film Foundation, both films were restored and remastered by Warner Bros. Post Production Creative Services: Motion Picture Imaging and Post Production Sound.” The Film Foundation has restored more than 900 films to date.
East of Eden stars James Dean and Rio Bravo stars John Wayne.
