Disney has announced the Alice Through the Looking Glass Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD release date for the franchise’s second and likely final live-action film in its current incarnation.
Alice Through the Looking Glass stars Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Mia Wasikowska. Despite the star power and success of the original, the $170 million sequel floundered at the US box office and currently sits at $287.1 million in gross worldwide ticket sales.
Disney will look to recoup some of the Alice Through the Looking Glass box office losses when the Blu-ray, DVD and Digital home video versions arrive on an October 18th release date.
The Blu-ray edition will feature 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and an extensive selection of bonus features:
- A Stitch in Time: Costuming Wonderland – Three-time Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood (“Alice in Wonderland,” “Memoirs of a Geisha”) explains how costuming helps shape the curious characters of Underland and reveals hidden Easter Eggs within the cast’s ornate outfits.
