Fox’s Deadpool 2 starring Ryan Reynolds opened big at the box office with $125 million domestically and over $300 million worldwide. Next up is the Deadpool 2 pre-order for various home video formats, and Fox is already one step ahead of the game.
Amazon has already listed Deadpool 2 pre-orders for the sequel on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray combo, Blu-ray combo, and DVD.
The release date listed for all three formats is “Fall-ish”. We can logically narrow that release date down to either August 21st, August 28th or September 4th based on the three-month theatrical window.
Deadpool 2 managed to dethrone Marvel’s The Avengers: Infinity War at the box office. It hasn’t quite caught traction on Amazon’s Blu-ray Bestsellers chart yet at position #46 for Blu-ray and #51 for 4K UHD, but it should climb as word spreads about the pre-order being live.
As for Avengers: Infinity War pre-orders at Amazon, forget about it. You won’t be able to scoop that title up from Amazon until it’s August 14th release date.
