Tuesday, August 4 is a big day for Deadpool fans as the lauded red band Deadpool Comic-Con trailer will finally make its public premiere on TBS’ Conan, followed shortly thereafter by an online bow.
Conan O’Brien has already teased that Tuesday’s episode of Conan has been rated for Mature Audiences because of the Deadpool trailer premiere. Ryan Reynolds even suited up as the merc with a mouth to offer a Deadpool trailer tease as only he can: a witty “trailer trailer.”
I won’t spoil the tease, but suffice it to say that Reynolds and Twentieth Century Fox are more than in-tune with how the character failed when introduced in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and are setting out to right all of those wrongs. This trailer could easily approach the 10 million views mark within its first 24 hours of release despite the low quality leaks out of Comic-Con last month.
Deadpool is rated R, directed by Tim Miller, co-stars Morena Baccarin and Gina Carano, and hits theaters on February 12, 2016.
