Amazon.com has lowered the price on two popular Blu-ray releases just ahead of Christmas in a bid to attract some last minute gift shoppers.
The first big discount, Star Wars: The Complete Saga, has been ongoing for a few days with positive results, though technically it is not the complete saga anymore with another trilogy on the way. It has been entrenched in the lower half of Amazon’s Blu-ray bestsellers list since going on sale and doesn’t look likely to budge until the price goes back up.

The other newly spotted sale item is Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games starring Jennifer Lawrence. The popular young adult book-turned-film on Blu-ray has been lowered to only $14.99, a big 63 percent off the $39.99 list price. It usually sells for around $20 or so.
