It’s hard to believe that we are only a little more than half a year away from the debut of Marvel’s Iron Man 3 and the official beginning of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe Phase 2.
Though production on Iron Man 3 starring Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley, Jon Favreau and Paul Bettany has been underway for months, the only peek we have had at the film has come from unofficial set photos and video, and the new Iron Man Mark armor that debuted at San Diego Comic-Con this past July.
The first official footage from Iron Man 3 is within our reach if, and only if, the Iron Man 3 Facebook Fan Power app gets enough “likes.” It’s not the greatest social media viral marketing ploy available, but at least something is out there and ready to be found.
The app went live yesterday and thus far has charged Iron Man’s arc reactor to 29 percent. It’s got a long way to go, so if you want to see the first Iron Man 3 footage sooner rather than later, I would “like” the app right here and get your friends to do the same.
