We’re less than two months away from the Blu-ray debut of Steven Spielberg’s classic Jaws on Blu-ray. Looking back in time, today is a special day for the first of several thriller flicks starring a great white shark.
The original Jaws opened theatrically on June 20, 1975. That’s exactly 27 years ago from today if my math serves me correctly.
Given today’s Jaws historical significance and upcoming Blu-ray release, Universal has passed along a pair of clips from the newly restored version of Jaws. The first clip is the ‘Night Swim’ and the second ‘Need a Bigger Boat.’ I don’t need to tell you which scenes these refer to.
Jaws makes its way to Blu-ray on August 14 with restored video in high definition, and restored audio presented in 7.1 surround sound.
