Activision is heavily recruiting Call of Duty players for their premium Elite subscription service and has whipped up a new trailer to sell it and sell it hard.
The big pitch for Elite is that you can pay an annual fee of $50 and, for starters, get all four Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 DLC packs included in the cost. The DLC packs sold separately outside of Elite would cost $60 to obtain them all. In addition, all the DLC maps will be made available to Elite members before everyone else.
The first of those four DLC packs, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Content Season, is now available.
Other supported Elite features like clans are still being rolled out. There’s already enough stats and analytic tools available to make Elite seem like a game unto itself.
