Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides starring Johnny Depp is still sailing in theaters, but that isn’t stopping the studio from gauging home video interest well ahead of its anticipated August or September release date.
Online retailer Amazon.com has begun accepting pre-orders for the 2D Blu-ray and DVD combo pack and the Blu-ray 3D combo pack of Disney’s Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. The two-disc Blu-ray and DVD combo pack is pre-selling for $27.99 or around 33% off the $39.99 list price. The five-disc Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD and digital copy combo is pre-selling for $34.99, also around 33% off the $49.99 list price.
In addition to offering an early pre-order opportunity for Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Amazon is also sharing the cover art for both versions. They aren’t the North American covers but should be essentially identical to what is released stateside.
