What appears to be the first footage from director J.J. Abrams and producer Steven Spielberg’s Super 8 has gone viral online.
The footage, most likely representing the final few seconds of Super 8’s Super Bowl TV Spot, first appeared on Adverlicio.us and then spread quickly. From it you can clearly see three scenes: a boy looking up in disbelief, a bus tilted on its side, and a super 8 camera falling on its side.
The shot of the boy in particular is a great example of how Abrams planned to make the film an homage to Spielberg’s films of the 70s and 80s. You could insert Richard Dreyfuss or Harrison Ford into that frame and it would still scream “Spielberg.”
