Today Warner Bros. and Mattel formally announced their line of toys based on the upcoming The Green Lantern movie starring Ryan Reynolds. Though the appearance of a toy line was already known and a given, the release did offer some images of the upcoming toys that until today had not been released as well as possibly revealing constructs that might appear in the film.
The action figure-based toys mentioned in the release include Movie Masters action figures, Ring Blast jet fighter and figure, Battle Shifters figures, as well as playsets, vehicles and deluxe figures. All the basic action figures will come with a Green Lantern ring.
Pictured below are items from numerous licensees including a Movie Masters action figure of The Green Lantern; a NECA Green Lantern Projection Ring that projects the Green Lantern symbol 50 feet; the Power of the Ring game, a MEZCO Mez-Itz Figure, the Green Lantern Colossal Cannon; and a Green Lantern Deluxe Battle Shifters figure with cannon.
There is a “gun construct” square in the Power of the Ring game which possibly matches up with the cannon deluxe figure and could be seen in the film. Other constructs revealed in the game include a Scorpion, Hand and Griffin. The Hand is already confirmed to appear on screen via the first theatrical trailer.
The Green Lantern hits theaters on June 17.
