Full Version of Captain America Movie Outfit Reveal

Helping “cap” a great day for superheros yesterday that included the first look at Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man is a new image of Chris Evans decked out in his full Captain America movie outfit.

The image, which first appeared online scanned and cropped from Entertainment Weekly’s print edition, has been published by the magazine on their website revealing the full scene. Cap stands in front of a pair of Hydra mechanized soldiers brandishing what appears to be some sort of flamethrower device on their arms. They look pretty clunky standing there but should look better in motion and combat.

As for Cap, he looks appropriately like a World War II-era super soldier. The outfit, modified from paratrooper gear, has distinctly WWII-era pouches and leather accents. Even the helmet looks modified from a combat helmet that would have been used during that time.

Cap’s outfit will undoubtedly look more modern for The Avengers, but he should look right at home alongside WWII-era servicemen as pictured below.

Next up for Captain America reveals should be the first trailer which presumably has been delayed to get it looking just right. Marvel and Paramount could also be waiting for the Superbowl to introduce Captain America to the world.
