Robert Rodriguez’ slash fest Machete is cutting its way to Blu-ray Disc and DVD on January 4, 2011.
Machete racked up $33.4 million in box office business this past September behind the impressive star powered ensemble cast featuring Danny Trejo, Robert DeNiro, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Lindsay Lohan, Jeff Fahey, Cheech Marin and Steven Seagal. For those who never checked out Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse, Machete is based off a spoof trailer from that double-feature.
Fox is presenting Machete on Blu-ray in 1.85:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Deleted scenes introducing never-before-seen characters and a digital copy comprise the only bonus features currently set to appear.
