A shadowy Johnny Depp appears as Captain Jack Sparrow in the first image producer Jerry Bruckheimer has shared from the set that includes his big star.
Spy pics of Depp as Sparrow have surfaced over the past two weeks from Hawaii where Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is currently in full swing production. This pic shared by Bruckheimer is the first official image of Sparrow released by anyone connected with the studio.
Pirates of the Caribbean 4 also stars Ian McShane as Blackbeard, Penelope Cruz as his daughter, Geoffrey Rush as Captain Hector Barbossa, Kevin R. McNally as Joshamee Gibbs, Sam Claflin and Astrid Berges-Frisbey. It will sail into theaters next summer on May 20, 2011.
