One of three clips (Harry Potter and Scott Pilgrim being the others) that debuted at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards was for M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender, this summer’s big July 4 weekend anchor.
The clip features a scene we’ve seen in bits from the previously released trailers and TV spots. Katara (Nicola Peltz) and Sokka (Jackson Rathbone, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) make their way across a snowy lake. Sokka strikes the ice and a giant blue ball emerges with a ray of energy shooting towards the sky and what appears to be The Last Airbender inside. The clip then turns into a montage of scenes you’ve seen before.
The Last Airbender opens in 2D and 3D everywhere on July 2.
