After rushing the first half of Glee’s inaugural season to DVD, Fox Home Entertainment has announced plans to forgo the second half of the season as a standalone package and will release the entire season on September 14. On Blu-ray, too, no less.
For Glee newbies, the official synopsis reads as follows: Glee follows an optimistic teacher who – against all odds and a malicious cheerleading coach – inspires McKinley High’s Glee Club to conquer the world one singing competition at a time.
Glee stars Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jessalyn Gilsig, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Mark Salling and Jenna Ushkowitz. The hit show has attracted celebrity guest appearances by Kristin Chenoweth, Eve, Josh Groban, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Olivia Newton-John, Idina Menzel, and Molly Shannon.
The Blu-ray version of Glee: Season One will be presented in 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and 1.78:1 1080p video. Bonus features are as follows:

Purchasers of Glee: Volume One on DVD will be able to visit www.gleebatedvd.com after June 1 to receive $10 off the DVD or Blu-ray of the complete first season.
